I really like this book. It's interesting if you're just interested in Adventure style bikes and stands as a read on that alone. It does give great advice on preparing and building up your own bike and associated kit, luggage and so on. Personally, I have a bald 'ed and more miles on the clock than my bike so I won't be doing anything transcontinental but the advice applies from to a long run for a day, a long weekend, a weeks touring or going off for months on end. Take your pick. I would recommend it just for a read and has some interesting insights into different manufacturers and their models. The book might be getting a little dated so don't expect anything 2020. But I would recommend it and was in fact reading it when the invite to review came through. Go ahead, great value, great read. We'll with it. In fact just last night I put a new and wide ranging emergency repair kit together on my bike. Next is the GPS. Purely as a result of reading this book.Read full review
