A few months ago, I bought a great camer, and decided to start walking mainly for firness, but also to try the camera out on different subjects. I had an old tri-pod but this was far too slow and cumbersome to take on hikes so I bought the CAMLINK CMP1. It is fantastic, sprung loaded to take the strain out of hiking up and down hills and, it also has a compass. Not only that but it is a great, steady stand for the camera even on 120 x zoom. It is well made, fully functinable and being a full walking stick fits the bill. If you walk, or just want to steady the camera for a few shots, try the Walking stick Pod. % star award from me.
I bought this product considering it for some hiking activities and mostly planned to take some amateur videos and try some basic photography on the mountains of Black sea for the coming summer. Luckily I had a chance to use them last week also on snowy mountains. And I had a chance to take videos and photos of my nephews and cousins while skiing and we really loved it and enjoyed it till the last penny we paid for it. Had been a great couple with my Olympus Tough Camera. Well, what else to say; you also feel that it is not something cheap that will collapse or break down in a few days. Really gave me the feeling of a strong, durable product; great quality with so cheap price. So if you think of buying this, don't even hesitate, I strongly recommend it. I even think of buying it again as some small gift to some friends.Read full review
Gives very good camera support and is easy to carry around. Should be fitted with a cheap camera ball joint to make it work a bit better than whithout and make it possible to point the camera in the direction you wish. Can allso be used as a selfie stick.

Seems well made, stable and supportive. The only obvious fault with the design is that the ferrule is just a push fit and does not screw on to ensure a good fit. If you swing the stick, as if walking, it doesn't take long for the ferrule to come off. I glued it on.

I'm disabled and have to use a stick to walk around trouble is I only have 2 hands so with this walking stick monopod I can still get around and have a stable platform for my camera. The quality seems to be very good and it all worked straight from the box. My only problem was I had to chase up delivery and it was 3 days late arriving!
