Once in a while a special artist, or one with some special chacteristics, come along, and such is the case with Clint Black. When I first saw him on TV at the Nashville Country Music Awards in the early 1990s, I was instantly taken with him. There is something about him which is hard to define, but it is like a magnet. He certainly doesn't have the best voice among country singers. Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Garth Brooks and George Strait all have the edge on him in that respect. However, there is something about the way in which he can deal with words in his clever writing, the delightful way in which he can interpret the words written by others, the genuine feeling he has both for his audience and the members of his excellent backing group, that results in the provision of music that is simply a joy to listen to. Listen and enjoy!Read full review
This cd is a tad different from his normal easy listening style. I have played it three times now and it definitely grows on you.
