Pam Grier should have been on the Hollywood A list . She fills the screen in every scene she is in and outshines all of her co-stars (who aren't actually bad , either ) . This film is more fun than Foxy Brown but is still gritty and harsh . A great example of low budget film making where the ideas and performances are more important than the gloss ; too many modern film makers should take notes .

As Blaxploitation films go, this one isnt as good as Superfly or Shaft, but is still well worth a watch. Set in L.A which is on the opposite coast to most of the Blaxploitation films, the film backdrop is not as exciting as the counterpart east coast NY films, but still visually 70's which is what you want to see! The Soundtrack by Roy Ayers (the reason i bought the movie) is great, but again not as strong as Curtis Mayfields score in Superfly) but well worth purchasing the movie for it alone. As for Pam Greir, Well what can i say, what a body, (those natural boobs made the film for me!! LOL!!) Worth a watch, and essential if you are a Blaxploitation movie lover.
