This scent has had a difficult time since its release, and I'm baffled as to why. Pharrel is a cool dude, really, he's an incredible musician and producer—even if I've never purchased a single track of his, I can appreciate his talent—and the fact that he took a risk in producing a scent with CdG, means he gets more respect from me, as they are my number one favourite house. This is NOT a typical celeb scent, and note that Pharrel actually assisted in every step of its production, from scent to bottle shape, to labelling, artwork (Kaws, I've loved you since your little table on the street in downtown Brooklyn), box, while many celebrities merely rake in the money for lending their names to a scent. He chose CdG because he had a meeting with someone who was wearing Wonderwood, and the rest is history. I hope that he doesn't give up just because people were a little confused by this one. The bottle is a little masterpiece all its own, and I love that I can display proudly on my fragrance shelf. It's quirky but isn't trying too hard (hear that, Diesel bottle designers?), and it promotes a great NY artist. The packaging is fantastic, and I've never received a CdG scent in such protective and cool surrroundings; be sure to read the little card that states how the art was printed on the bottle. Now, the scent? FANTASTIC. Although a little powdery in the opening (a blast of violets), it simmers down to the most soft and lovely lavender/iso e super-laced/soft birch/sandalwood combo. It IS on the feminine side at first, but I would swoon if a man had the confidence to wear this, and would only want to get closer. Other violet-based wood scents throw me off a bit (Paul Smith is one), but this is heavenly, and I think the reason its only three years old and already heavily discounted is that people buy based on experience; they either need the bottle and scent to tell them that it's for men or women, or they can't wrap their heads around the avant garde in a scent. YOU NEED THIS HUGE BOTTLE IN YOUR COLLECTION. How cool would you be to take a little risk, wear something totally different. Viva la Comme des Garçons, and GREAT WORK Pharrel. Read full review

This is most unexpected EDP experience: it is of good quality, it lasts for a very long time, gets lots of compliments and after i got one for my nephew as a birthday present I had to get one for myself. It stands out in a crowd of celebrity scents and belongs in a very unisex category indeed, as both wife and I enjoy this equally. Would suit Spring more I think, as in cold weather smells a little like a "damp concrete" on me....not bad, but not as great. Wife loves it and it smells better on her, in any weather/season. But while we were on our holiday in Sri Lanka, in a warm climate, it was a real treat (!!!) and an absolute pleasure. Enjoy!

The bottle bottle is with the entrance price, may even be a collector's piece in years to come The contents is definitely unisex. A very potent cedar and iris scent reminiscent of Wonderwood and Encre Noire. Extremely long-lasting, too.
