found this machine very good to cut thin dies thru even glittered card, you do need to play around with plates and shims depending on die you use but once you know it is easy. the cutting plate and plastic shim do tend to warp but turn round and flip and they do last but all machines have to have cutting plates etc changed even trimmers so that is part of using all tools. for anyone with problems with hands or arms it is a very good machine and I would recommend it. It embosses beautiful, transforming even cheaper card and try on envelopes for Xmas, makes them look special.

This machine exerts a LOT of pressure, yes it cuts complicated dies, but also damages the edges. the pause, reverse buttons are useful, but not something I use a lot. I bought this machine as it was an updated version of the Cut n Boss. I mistakenly thought a newer version would be better. It embosses the same, looks good but cuts through the edges. It also bends A plates with the 1st use & totally messes the magnetic shim with one pass, so will be very expensive replacing plates & shims. I have now ordered a new Cut n Boss

I am so impressed with this product. It makes life so much easier when crafting and using your dies. I specifically bought it because turning the handle on my Grand Calibur was getting quite painful because of my condition so the Gemini takes all the work out of die cutting. You also get all the plates you need in with the machine which is marvellous because they are not cheap if you have to buy them also. Wish I had bought this machine years ago.

This is my first experience of die cutting & bought the Gemini aftrr looking at some reviews. It arrived fine & I tried a simple cut, using a die which came with the machine. Using the suggested 'sandwich' from the instruction booklet, it didn't turn out too well. It heavily damaged some of the plates, making a very deel depresdion in one plate & the metal shim, also warping the plates too. The machine itself is well made, heavy & comes well equipped. I would reccommend it generally, but suggest using it with caution, unless you want to end up buying new plates.

I like this machine very much indeed my only problem is the embossing mat which cuts when using Spellbinders dies it has to do with the extra pressure but I feel it is a design fault in the material/thickness of the mat itself. This is my personal opion and I have purchased a second mat so that I only use the cut mat for Spellbinders and dies I think may have the same problem when embossing. But the quality of the die cut is very good indeed especially on intricate dies.
