Great product, easily installed if some effort is taken, fits beautifully!
These tires fit wonderfully but they are supposed to be very very tight to ensure no loss of traction. Imagine them just like your car tires, it would be bad if they easily popped on and off. Use the tool, follow the instructions, and the C-clamp portion is absolutely essential at least for me! Beautiful Bands
Such a cool color. But more importantly, they work great. I have had them on my 12' saw for a month or so now and really like them. They were very easy to put on, after soaking them in very hot water for 10 minutes. I practiced on the top wheel and then did the lower wheel. I did not remove the wheels from the bandsaw frame, so it was a bit tight to get the clamps onto the lower wheel. Great product. Suggestion on installing.
Great fit. Glad to be able to get this product. Suggestion; A tool is supplied with these belt to help install them on the wheel, however, it has a nail head on the end which makes it harder to get the tool out when the entire belt is put in place. Solution; use a Phillips head medium size screw driver and when you get to the end and the entire belt is on the wheel, simply pull the screw driver shaft out and it won't hang on the nail head at the end of the installation tool. Blue Max Bandsaw Tires
Without a doubt this was everything that you said it was and all the "whoopla" about putting them on is "just that." After heating the water and allowing the tires to set in the hot water, it took me 5 minutes to put on the top tire. I have a Craftsman Bandsaw and the bottom tire is way down in the cabinet. Don't even try to put the bottom tire on without removing the lower pulley from the drive shaft. It is simple process to remove the lower pulley. First loosen the set screw, remove the pulley (you may need to tap the edge of the pulley around the shaft if has never been removed) being careful not to lose the Key in the key way, follow the instructions using a clamp and the supplied tool. First time worked like a charm. Total time, including putting band saw back together ready for adjustment with a new blade, 20 minutes. I saw a different method online installing the same "Blue Max" band saw tires that I believe is worth mentioning. This installation was as follows: both tire pulleys were removed from the band saw. Place the tire on the bottom of the pulley and place a Zip tie 90 degrees up on each side of the pulley to hold the tire against the pulley (make sure that the Zip ties are pulled very tight preventing the tire from slipping off the pulley. Then place the pulley on the floor and place your foot through the pulley to hold the tire in place, so it does not come off the bottom of the pulley, then with both hands stretch the upper part of the tire up above the top of the pulley. Then, using the round part of a screw driver (or the tool supplied with the "Blue Max" tires, ease the top of the tire onto the pulley. In both of these examples be sure to check the installation making sure the tire is centered, all around, on the pulley. I found this product to be everything it was purported to be. After the installation, the band saw was quieter and the adjustment of the new blade went without any problems. As far as, "Cons", there was NONE. All in all, this is a superior product at a very fair price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Installation of tires
Clean EVERYTHING off the pulley/wheel. In the last few minutes of cleaning, heat some water in a microwave. (I used a filled Styrofoam 16oz cup, heated for 2:55) Heat one tire at a time - in the water - and not in the microwave. Use the installation tool they included with the tires, it will save your fingers and some cuss words. Be prepared for it to slip off the edge a couple times. Stay cool - they DO fit. About the 3rd or 4th try you'll get it. While celebrating your success, heat another cup of water and repeat the process. Sit back with a cold one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
