Very good quality sound for the price, clear and without distortion, as with all Creative products. Simple on/off switch on the right speaker, no tone controls. Lots of bass from the woofer; that would be even better if the woofer had a separate volume control. NB it has a power save function which sends it to sleep after 10 minutes of no audio and on again in response to a new audio signal. This means that it misses short sounds such as alert tones. I thought it was faulty at first but then read the (very) small print in the instructions.

These speakers do sound good given their relatively low price but I'm frustrated by the deeply annoying auto power off feature which seems to kick in no matter what I'm doing. I wouldn't recommend them as there's seemingly no way to turn this "feature" off.

Sounds like a bigger system, very clear with good bass response and the size is small which is another good thing, the main speakers easily fit on a small desk and the bass speaker goes under the desk as easily.

The sound this A250 set makes is quite a lot better than you would expect for the price, and especially for the rated power output, which does look fairly puny on paper. The A250 is perfect if you want to improve the sound of your TV or computer without spending a lot. Put the Sub under the TV and the tiny speakers either side of the screen, plug the jack into the headphone output of the TV and you get a huge improvement in all areas. The sound is bright, clean and the sub delivers a nice sounding bass, excellent for music or movies. Volume is controlled from your TV controller and the A250 powers off if no sound is detected for a minute or two - perfect.
