Bought this album as I went to see daft punk live in Marley park in Dublin. Was not really into their music until the gig so just had to buy some cd afterwards. Love the music and there is nothing to dislike about it. Daft punk rocks....
Daft Punk Discovery, the collective collection of alls thing happy! If your into your dance electro music then this CD is for you! One More Time is an all time classic, with great lyrics and an amazing funky beat! We can't Stop PA! loving this! Other great tunes include Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger also with great lyrics!and Cresscendolls! To be honest there all brill! even the ten minute long track Too Long! is catchy! Definitely a must for any music lover! Great for listening to in the car or in fact anywhere! Get Dancing! xx
This album was produced along with an entire movie called 'Interstella 5555' produced by Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto, a story of love & loss, good & evil with a happy ending. Even if you haven't heard of Discovery or Interstella 5555 there's a good chance you've heard 'One More Time' 'Digital Love' and 'Harder Better Faster Stronger' both excellent rythmic songs. If you like the vocals from 'One More Time' done by Romanthony then you'll also like 'Too Long' as well (also by Romanthony). 'Something About Us' is a very romantically chilled song, 'Night Vision' and 'Voyager' are also nice to chillout to.' Crescendolls', 'Superheroes' and 'Face To Face' are worth mentioning for their catchiness. Overall it is a nice album to have on in the background very unobtrusive and sophisticated, the songs are the kind of songs that people either know or want to know, typical daft punk.Read full review
this review should be 5/5, but 'perfect' is an illusion*, which this album only just escapes the clasp of. already adoring the majority of daft pnuk's material, remixes of their own and others' of theirs, i was guiding a friend through his early steps of Homework, and for me there's been nothing more replete with beautiful tracks than Discovery (of course he dug it)). each track has the body to be a single, getting feet tapping that feel like they've not tapped nostalgia to this tune for too long. hand in hand with this album should go an intrigue for Leiji Matsumoto's Interstella 5555, to which it becomes the score; my brother picked up a copy and vowed to get it put on at a clubnight nearby, giving the first time impact to himself, one and all. genius. if you've enjoyed daft punk before then give this solid album a spin. discovery: a hot contender for my desert island discs. *superlatives are the bane of ebay, they obliterate sincerity.Read full review
Daft Punk, a totally unique type of electronically synthasised music. Great stuff!! Is well worth the money if you are into up-beat music with a difference. 'One more time' being probably one of the most well known tracks of its time!
