  • Excellent book in the Kate Shackleton series

This is a typical Kate Shackleton mystery. Having said that, it is probably the best in the series so far - I started with the first story and am reading them in order. Very believable characters and good story lines with some unexpected twists. Being set in the 1920s, the stories are a bit different to the usual crime stories and, having been brought up in Yorkshire, recognise many of the settings. Highly recommended.

  • A wonderful murder mystery

It's a lovely story in the series, of Kate Shakleton Mysteries. Just the right amount of murder and mystery and it keeps you guessing to the end. It is also lovely to learn a little more about life in the 1920s.
