It was brand new and still had the celophane wrapper. It was bought because I had bought Die Hard 4.0 in DVD and only had videos of the first two of the Die Hard films. Now I am moving all my films to DVD this was the first set I thought of, but I did not want to pay too much and this set was just right for me to purchase. I have already (in fact within days of it arriving) watched all three films and 4.0 again more than once. It is a great set of films.
Die Hard was the Matrix of the 80s, it reinvigorated the action genre, raising the bar for anything that had to follow it, as well as helping Bruce Willis to become a fully-fledged movie star. In these 3 films Bruce plays John McClane, a hard living, hard drinking New York police detective who just seems unfortunate enough to always been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Die Hard finds McClane visiting his estranged wife at her LA office only to find the building being taken over by terrorists. Die Hard 2: Die Harder sees him facing more terrorists as he attempts to meet his slightly less estranged wife at the airport, while Die Hard 3: With A vengeance pits him against a ruthless criminal mastermind intent on holding New York to ransom
How many lives does a man have, then watch these movies and you will find out. john mclain is back at it, these movies havethe lot from terrorists to thiefs and plain old psycopaths, the story lines are very good and number 2 has a christmas feel to it. You just keep egging this guy on even though you know he will survive to make the sequels, good bits of humour and great storylines make the trilogy a must have dvd collection and with number 4 just released all i can say is bring on number 5..
