These are ideal for tidying up the component tails when soldering onto a pcb, and for cutting thin wire. I wouldn't use them on thicker material though, I think that would ruin them, but for soldering related work they are perfect and should last for years. Excellent price, why pay more?

Initially I was impressed with the snips - lightweight, very sharp, cutting blades met correctly, comfortable to use etc. However on using for the third occasion to trim PCB components (legs on resistors, transistors etc) post soldering, the head just shattered! Given the price I didn't expect much but I did expect a decent amount of use! On inspection of the broken bits, it seems to me the pliers were made from cheap cast metal not steel (as advertised) therefore not fit for purpose. This sort of tool needs to be made with carbon steel for durability so my advice would be to spend a little extra - lesson learn't!

Very compact flush cutters with clip for locking in the closed position. They spring open when the catch is released. Smooth silicon/rubber type grips. Great value for money. Just restrict use to cutting copper wire and tywraps and they should last fairly well. I use mine at work, daily, and they're going strong 6 weeks later.

After about 2 uses these broke. No excessive use, I was cutting a plastic cable tie. You get what you pay for I suppose: what should one expect for £1.99? Lesson learned: you can't afford to buy cheap.
