Had this machine for a few months now, didn't get the chance use all the functions yet, but here are my thoughts so far: I bought this welder for practicing, home projects and small jobs. The MMA mode was rather disappointing. It only runs 6013s and 7018s won't run 6010s. Which surprised me as even the cheap unbranded mig welder I used at work could handle arc welding better than this machine and ran all the aforementioned rods without problems. Also it somehow feels like the rods tend to stick a lot more often than the welders I used in the past. From a brand name and price I expected a tiny bit more. The TIG welding function does what it has to do, can't say anything bad about it. I've tried it on mild and stainless steel, it obviously won't weld aluminium as it's a DC only machine. The down slope function is a nice feature for the TIG mode, however I wish the post flow could be adjusted somehow which is a fixed value by the factory. About 4-5 seconds. If you want to do serious arc welding, I'd get an arc only welder. There are better ones for better price. If you want a good TIG welder for steel and occasionally do some arc welding, this machine will do.Read full review

Brilliant quality DC tig welder with HF start or lift arc, welds super smooth on mild steel and stainless. There are many hundreds of far cheaper unknown make tig welders for sale for half the price but the buddy tig is probably one of the best on the market and comes from a well known manufacturer.
