The music takes me back to the good old days of E.J. Like Mad man across the water. A bit country and western

As a lifelong EJ fan this album is somewhat of a letdown. Does not touch the original Capt Fantastic in either lyric or composition.Only 3 worthwhile tracks in Richard Nixon, Noahs Ark and '67. Some of the lyric lines seem squashed into shape to fit the chord structure and Elton quite often seems to parody himself.Never the less I have all the albums and need this one to keep the set complete! Will we ever see anything like the Halcyon days of Yellow Brick Rd, Honky Chateau or even the later, Made in England? Time will tell.
If you love Elton you will love this early CD, it contains some real gems and makes you realise just how long Elton's musical career has been going on - a true musoical legend!
I was very disappointed with this album,it seems that Elton had run out of ideas and put together a lot of tracks that sounded a lot like a lot of his older work but worse.
