Before buying this kit I'd tried various things to try unblock the cyan cartridge including multiple cleans, a different cartridge & only achieved a marginal improvement on the nozzle test. I did vary from the recommended procedure slightly by leaving the syringe with fluid still in it & attached over night. This is because it didn't seem to be flowing or only v slowly & I read this tip in an article on the web. After cleaning up I then did a nozzle test but no improvement! So I then went through the procedure again with another syringe full, but didn't wait this time. What I think also helped was poking a needle into the hole on the cartridge where the print head enters as it did seem there was a layer of dried up ink. Note that I'd also tried this before using the kit. But this time it worked and the nozzle test was almost perfect! So maybe a combination of both being blocked. I'd assumed it was a result of using cheap compatible cartridges on my Epson WF-2630, but from what I read it seems it's common with cheapy Epson printers if you don't use them regularly. Another thing to note is you have to squeeze the syringe v slowly. At first I thought it wasn't going through at all as it was spilling out slightly from the sides of the tube, but the amount of ink & cleaning fluid collected on the tissue underneath said otherwise. I think the nozzle is v thin so you have to just be patient!Read full review

My Epson WorkForce had been unused for two years and would only print Cyan and patchy Yellow, even after 3 cycles of nozzle 'Deep Clean'. The Kit came with full - though quite simple - instructions and all the items required, including gloves to keep that ink off the fingers! Using it was equally simple, provided (in the case of my printer) you have a good torch to illuminate the bases of where the ink cartridges have been removed. Firstly you have to slip a piece of the absorbent "blotting" paper under the Print Head Assembly. I found it easier to hold the paper in place and gently ease the Head over it. After drawing up about 2ml of cleaning liquid, the soft 'pipe' on the end of the syringe was easily pushed over each cartridge "needle". Then gentle pressure on the syringe plunger and - presto!! - slight resistance followed by a smooth injection of fluid. The process was repeated for each cartridge holder. I folded the "blotting paper" supplied into 4 thicknesses - glad I did! It was soaked but had completely prevented the mixture of Ink and cleaning fluid soiling the paper transport surface. As instructed, the fluid was left for 10 minutes and then fresh "blotting" paper (4 thicknesses again) was slid under the Print Head and another 1ml was injected gently through each cartridge 'needle'. MUCH less contamination, and traces of all 3 colours &black could be seen. Then FRESH cartridges installed, one round of 'light' nozzle-cleaning and..... Perfection! I used less than 1/2 of a bottle of cleaner - 2 bottles supplied - and only 1 of the sheets of "blotting" paper, so plenty left for another time. Brilliant!Read full review

couldnt get my printer to print a clear picture so i thought i would give this kit a try. I followed the instructions and wow it printed as good as new. If it didnt work i would have had to buy another printer so it has saved me a lot of money. My problem is i dont print many things and so the ink dries up so spend 10 mins on cleaning it up works well.

A very good method of cleaning print heads very easily. I managed to clean mine thoroughly in less than 30 minutes, and it worked fine after. However, a word of caution, if you think you are man enough to do the job without the supplied pair of latex gloves, then more fool you, as they are really needed, as is a good roll of kitchen towel. The solution goes all over the place, so a large Pirex lid is a must, or something similar to catch it in. The instructions issued are good, and easy to follow, but excessive force on the syringe is not recommended. Overall, I recommend this cleaner, it worked well for me.
