If you don't know who Fall Out Boy is then you have been living under a rock for the past year. Although they were relatively unknown while on Fueled by Ramen, this chicago band has hit it big on Island Records. Their hit song 'Sugar, we're going down' has become a radio favorite. But Fall Out Boy has something that could very well make them timeless: Apathy. They never claim to be punk nor emo nor pop, they just claim to like playing music. Overall this is not bad, actually good! Pete wentz really dose good with the lyrics!
Probably best know for their hit "Sugar We're Going Down" Fall out boy stay true to their emo style with From Under The Cork Tree, It starts off Really Good with a few rather catchy songs and some cracking lines ("i'm just A notch on your bedpost, But You're Just a line in a song") But by the time You reach track ten you kinda become bored of the same old stuff and i find it hard to take them seriously when they have a brief screaming session, its like guys your not a metal band so don't try to be... and at the end of Track 12 where they have an emo rant on "why put a new address on the same old lonlyness" and "talking is a waste of breath and living is a waste of death" So to be honest go slit your wrists while your on a high.... This album is definately worth buying for the first half alone but after a while you might get sick of the repetitive themes that run through all the songsRead full review
This is a great album, from a great pop punk band. The tracks are full of energy with great guitar solos and amazing vocals. They are so catchy, you will be singing along with them almost straight away! For any music lover but especially pop punksters.
