So , thinking of getting a shredder for your basic home needs. ? This does the job well. I’m no expert on shredders, and it’s not a serious office type player. But for most people’s home needs and safely disposing of personal information this is great. Well built powerful and has good capacity. I’m happy with it and fully recommend.

I will put my review in point form. Feels very cheap, not a patch on my previous model. The basket is solid plastic so you cant see how much is in it.. The shredded paper is still quite large to in information is still visible on some of the paper. The run time before switching off is very poor, even when you are putting the paper through a sheet at a time and not putting the shredder under any pressure it still switches off too quickly and takes a good while to be ready to start again. The only plus side is it is compact and shreds bank cards and paper with staples in. In my opinion this is quite a poor machine and wouldn't recommend it.

I have had a Fellowes shredder before and it lasted some years. It worked as expected. Therefore I expect this one to do the same. Model 36C is only intended for light duties. I only use it once or twice a month for a dozen or so sheets, so therefore I am a light user. For my purpose this is very good value for money. For someone who needs to shred regularly I would recommend paying for a more expensive model.

Really pleased with this shredder. It's small and does a great job. The only slight negative that I would say is that it does not have a clear section along the side or front to see how full the bucket is becoming.
