If you want to re-create a "closet classic" based on the Fender Stratocaster's first 16/17 years, these are essential for looks and accurate specification. The cost of procuring these types of saddles from original pre 1971 examples is outrageous - even if they are frankly, knackered. If you require the "aged" look, then it's possible to "relic" them, but still retain that all important 'new' performance. The guitar I have these saddles on is my (more often than not) "go-to" Strat. Whilst, they may not be the only reason I pick that particular guitar up, they are certainly a piece of the puzzle that results in an instrument that makes you smile. And that, may well be, what it's all about.Read full review
