The rack is very robust and well made in terms of materials, all the fixings are good quality. The problem is that the metal tubular frame is bent to form the individual pieces and the slightest deviation from the requirements result in the top two arms not being bent correctly and also the bottom two sections that go on the bottom of the door (which come riveted together) not being bent correctly. This results in the rack not fitting correctly and allowing the two bottom brackets to scrape on the rear bumper. These lower brackets also have a pre-drilled hole in which is not used according to the instructions BUT is obviously there because of this problem!! the hole requires a self tapping screw to be fitted to enable the bracket to be fixed properly and at the correct angle. On the whole the rack is excellent for carrying bikes and very robust, safe and good quality BUT completely let down by bad manufacturing tolerances - the result is a rack that has to be modified to make it work as described otherwise you cannot open the door with the rack on and it damages the rear bumper. It takes about 1 hour to put together but about 4 hours to modify and alter to ensure it works as described.Read full review
