  • Good, but plan ahead

It is a good product for stabiising large taps. There is a caution though. It relies on fixing to the underneath of the work top and the tap is likely to be an area where the cabinet has a back brace that covers the area intended to fix the brace to, so the worktop is not accessible to use. In my case I placed the sink in a narrow (60cm) cabinet, not a full width cabinet. This means you can attach under the draining board by use of a plate over the joint in the cupboard. You need to put that securelly in place before inserting the sink unit in the worktop - this area will have been cut away for the sink and drainer so as long as the plate (wood, mdf, chipboard) is thinner than the gap to the drainer it will work. So plan ahead, where are you going to attach it. It may be more difficult to use if there is no drainer.

  • Well designed brace

This clever little brace is very flexible and can be set to deal with taps with the main supporting screw at the front or at the back. It is well designed and works well, helping to support taps on stainless steel sinks.

  • Awaiting fitting

Although I've not fitted it yet, I can see that this accessory will stop most movement of the heavy mono block tap mounted in a medium gauge stainless steel sink unit. It's well designed and seems robust enough to 'stiffen up' the problem of movement when operating the tap. It's not going to be an easy job to retrofit this item. I'd have thought by now tap manufacturers would have addressed this mounting problem 'in house'.

  • Does what it promises.

Worked as expected. Tap now much more stable - still not rock solid but it doesn’t feel like it is about to fall off. It should be fitted before the worktop is fixed down if possible as there is a lot of fiddling about and extra work to retro fit it.

  • Very effective tap reinforcement

Easy to fit, as long as you have good access. Works very well, reducing tap movement. Very solid.

  • Worth the effort.

Not better than expected but certainly improves things considerably, so glad I bought on ebay at a fraction of the often advertised price. Not an easy fix on an corner cabinet with an oval sink but once viewed the YouTube video, managed to fit from a very cramped Squatting position. Probably easier for a younger person with reasonable DIY experience and a lot of patience.

  • Brilliant if it can be fitted

I have the brace fitted to my own Franke taps, so when I went to fit some Franke taps for a friend, but couldn't use it as not enough space between the worktop and kitchen unit..

  • Tap supported through steel sink

Fitted well secures to underside of work surface and around tap base .fitted to a steel sink unit to reduce tap flexing

  • Kitchen sink brace

This was idel but when the person that put in the new kitchen sink tap, it was not needed, If we had left it to the old tap it would have been needed. But it is now something that we have if incase of another tap problem.

  • Tap brace

very good idea the washers supplied with the tap do not give enough support I am impressed with the construction
