This pinch bolt for the top part of a VW Passat 2003 fitted perfectly and was no problem to insert and attach to the upper end of the suspension. These Passat pinch bolts tend to rust up in place, sometimes bend, and are very difficult to remove. Perusal on the internet shows dozens of ways to try and remove them - an indication of how much of a problem they can be. A new bolt should be used each time the old one is removed.

My old bolt had been worn right down and the suspension could have seperated at any time. This little beauty though seemingly insignificant is potentialy a life saver. Oh yeah the dispatch and delivery was efficient too.

This is the bolt that holds the top 2 suspension arm ball joints in place. If your old bolt is stuck, it will need a good bit of heat to get it out, with a lot of penetrative fluid, hammering and gentle turning of the bolt. Took me as long to get the bolt out as it did to do the job 😂My advice is buy both the top arms, because when you start heating it up, you will burn both the ball joint rubbers. There is a U tube vid on how to do the job. Anyway, the bolt is great, comes with a new nut and did the job great 👍
