Very good quality and designed for the vehicle where aftermarket guards would be very inferior. However this is NOT a DIY installation you need a special Volvo tool to fit it and we ended up paying a garage for a 2 hour job to install it. Be warned.

Hello. Having.owned a. 2000, and 2004 Volvo v40 we.bought a.2016... The fitting instructions were.missing.from our.sealed. box....but.google. showed.a.pdf...it turned out you need.to have a rivnut tool or know someone who does....first job is to find.the 4 mounting holes under the carpeted seat backs them using the drill cutter supplied.in the kit remove 4 circles of.carpet....then insert.the rivnut and washer then use a tool that isn't supplied to squash rivnut....without.this tool you can't fit.the guard....eBay sell chinese rivnut tools.for.£30...

Arrived well packaged with plenty of bubble wrap for protection. With easy to follow instructions took me an hour a side to fit including prep work. However, it does need an extra pair of hands when offering it up. Delighted with the result. Recommended.

Good quality and a perfect fit. Cand drop / split the seats leaving the guard in place. Not suitable for small dogs due to size of gaps between bars. Needs to have rear of seat liner cut and seat back drilled to be fitted correctly. Fitting at a Volvo dealer will cost about £90. Fitting instructions can be found online
