I found this Natural Gold Label Dubbing excellent for care and waterproofing of my leather boots, it is excellent. Before you apply the dubbing it is necessary to thoroughly clean all polish and dirt from your boots, once they are dry the best way to apply the dubbing is to slightly warm the leather with a hair dryer. If the dubbing is hard, slightly warm the dubbing with the hair dryer and start applying the dubbing with a soft clean cloth, the slight warming of the leather allows the dubbing to absorb into the leather, I tend to give the boots a couple of coats while gently warming the leather, but not overheating it. Once the dubbing has hardened I simply polish the boots using a soft cloth and they look excellent and are completely waterproof. I am that impressed with this dubbing that I will eventually treat all my boots, I have already treated a brand new pair of boots even before I have worn them. The condition of the leather is top notch once treated. I am confident that this dubbing will extend the life of all my boots as I have never seen my boots in such a good condition, very supple, totally waterproof with the leather in top condition. I have lost a couple of pairs of boots in the past due to the leather drying out and splitting, I am confident that this will never happen while I used this Gold Label Dubbing.Read full review

It's good stuff, easy to apply soaks in to leather with a little help from a hair dryer, but don't over heat the leather ,softens the leather and weather proofs it, extend the life of your leather products ie boots. it's a no brainer really .

Works in well but too early to say how waterproof this dubbin is. However I have always used dubbin on boots as all this 'modern' stuff is useless! The dye in the dubbin is effective bringing brown/black boots back to 'new'. Very good value in the larger tub.

Would recommend this dubbin, it is very water repellent and goes on very easily, very good value for 200g you can pay a couple of quid for a 50g tin,use it regularly on my golf shoes

I know this is not designed for this purpose, but it seems to work. I have an old black composite sink that always seems to be left with white marks. I have applied the saddle soap and miraculously after a week the sink still looks like new.
