This is a very interesting book about Tank development in the First World War. It tells you a lot about the Mark Four Male and Female Tanks. I would recommend this book to anybody interested in Tanks or the First World War.

It is the best account of the tank MkIV I have read I wish i had read it before I sat in the Display Mk IV at Bovington Tank Museum. I need to go again. However I have read better accounts of the Land Ships Commitee and the in fighting that went on before the Model I came out. Frederick Wilkinson is barely mentioned though he motre than anyone else should be called the Father of the Tank.
