The good: This installed to my windows machine seemlessly and works without flaw. It has a USB A style dongle that plugs into a spare USB port and works from BIOS/UEFI without need for a seperate driver. Precision wise, I have used if for standard wordprocessing stuff and for graphics editing just fine. The bad: If you don't have many spare USB ports then the need to plug in a dongle might be inconvenient. I have tried to run it off the computer's built in bluetooth but I haven't found a way to make it discoverable. I also tried in my MacMini (M1 version); it connected just fine and works 99% of the time, but every now and again it just lags and the mouse cursor becomes frozen on the screen. It's not advertised as a mouse for Mac but its slick design would fit nicely in a Mac ecosystem so thought others might try it too.Read full review

Looked forward to using this mouse with my HP Chromebook. So very disapointed in this mouse-looked great on the webpage and in the package when it was delivered. Paired it up with my chromebook and the left clicker was so smooth and responsive, the same with the right clicker. However the scroll wheel is such a let down as when i scroll down or up-it is so clunky, it seems to be rubbing plastic against plastic. It jumps up so jaggerdly and in the downward movement too. I expected it to be smooth scrolling as HP products are normally so very good to use and trust in. As i say the scrolling is a complete nightmare-the webpages just jump inadvertedly as there is no controll whatsoever on the scrollwheel. Should have sent it back but i have ripped the packaging apart trying to get the mouse out of the surrounding cardboard and plastic. Not happy at all.Read full review

I bought this HP Z3700 Wireless Optical Mouse to replace another wireless mouse that turned out to have some incompatibility problems with Ubuntu. Plugging this in resolved all the issues and it has subsequently worked with 100% compatibility. Other advantages are: * it feels really well made * only uses a single AA battery * it lasts a huge length of time * it has an on-off switch to save even more power or to stop it from picking up false clicks if it's put in a bag or pocket * the combined battery/dongle cover isn't held in place with a physical catch bit to strong magnets at the rear. This works really well and is a really good way of keeping the lid on whilst making it very easy to remove and no likelihood of breaking. Any cons? Only one that ends up not actually being one. It's a very low mouse. At first this feels odd but once you've used it for a bit it isn't noticeable. It also ends up being an advantage if you are carrying it in a bag or pocket as it sits flusher.Read full review
