I bought this game because i had been buying Halo actionclix figures on e-bay and was unaware who they were so bought the game to find out. Firstly it was a great price and delivery was like almost instant. You dont need to be playing for long to catch the storyline which is preety kool but also get to know the characters preety quick. the game runs smoothly an if you are use to this genre preety easy to pick up you get to drive vehicles an swap plenty of weapon both from your own side and your enemy The Covenent. All in all great graphics an a fun game.
I first player this game back in 2008 when I bought my Xbox 360 Elite Console; and I didn't get far. The colourfulness of the environment and the bright purple enemies rushing toward me or ducking into cover made it difficult for me to get into the game... A little while ago - post-ODST and post-Reach (FANTASTIC GAME!!) - I decided to re-visit Halo 3 and give it a second chance. I wasn't disappointed. I love my first-person shooters (FPS) on the Xbox 360 - I love being able to weild a variety of real-world and alien/experimental/advanced weaponry (and have recently become quite fond of scoped semi-automatics in games.) I love games that allow me to take control of at least one vehicle, and there are more than that in this game! As with Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach this game also offers split-screen multiplayer for those who have a lousy internet connection like mine. I disliked that garishly bright purple enemies, but that isn't difficult to get over once you get past the first 'mission' of the game. In fact, I disliked the first 'mission' of the game entirely. Once I got beyond that however there are some really amazing portions of the game that I missed. The Flood. Wow! Before this game I had only encountered The Flood in the RTS, Halo Wars (which should be ported to the PC where all RTS games invariably belong - are you listening Halo Gods? And whilst you're at it give me a Haloverse Space Combat Sim!!! Now!!!) where was I? The Flood. The first time I encountered these alien parasite-ridden hosts I jumped in my chair despite myself! I like zombies (like really,) and The Flood are as Zombie-like as you're going to get in the Haloverse... but at the same time they bring back memories of the great-grand pappy of most science fiction FPS games... ALIENS... "They're coming out of the walls, man!"... "They're everywhere!!"... "We're gonna die, Man! We're toast!" ...enough said. Would I buy this game again, and would I recommend it to a friend? Yes on both counts. In fact, I bought this a second time in order to give it a second chance - I don't regret it...Read full review
Absolutely pristine condition, no skipping or trouble playing. Recently was gifted a 360 from a relative and decided to complete the series as I already have Halo 4 + 5, and also bought 1 + 2 for the previous Xbox at the same time as this. Found this brilliantly priced listing which perfectly patched the hole in my Halo collection. Thank you!
