Over the years I have come to realise many things, one of them being that the quality of your painting is directly related to the quality of your brushes. Also, to a degree, the actual paint. So get as good a paint as you can afford, and, using brushes like these bad boys, you will not only get a good result but probably enjoy the actual painting process. But, and please don't underestimate this, prepare the surface like your life depends on it. So get these 3 things all lined up and you will almost want charge for a tour of your latest bit of DIY!! Remember, bristle brushes for solvent paint and synthetics for water based paint. Generally. As I'm sure you know there are exceptions to everything.

I have only used a couple of the brushes out of a set of five. Wet them first before using for water-based paints. I used them for priming canvases with acrylic gesso. No bristle loss and a nice finish. Very good quality especially at the price.

These brushes are lovely. Don't leave brush marks. Nice and smooth and are so soft. Great for all water based paint. Won't use anything else now I have these beauties!

Was using DIY stores synthetic finishing paint brushes for water based paint, just didn't cut it, bit too stiff and "bristels seperate". Used (borrowed contractors) purdy, so couldn't go back. Took a chance on Hamilton, just as good for me!
