I have been an amateur mechanic for some years. I have always dealt with any vehicular repairs to my own cars and motorcycles. I discovered the range of Haynes workshop manuals for these types of repairs/maintenance, a number of years ago. It simplified the various procedures no end and made everything clearer. The books are easy to read and I doubt there is a vehicle out there that Haynes hasn’t got a manual for. They are excellent for the professional mechanic and of course the semi skilled/amateur operative. So, if you are inclined to fix your own car or motorcycle and have a modest mechanical skill, you should consider getting a Haynes manual. They are without doubt brilliant examples of maintenance manuals; Haynes gets my vote every time. BC

These manuals are not the quality product they used to be. Sure, they still contain good detailed repair procedures but the grey, recycled look, pages are not so clear to read and the photographs are poor. Plus the soft covers do not have the quality feel of the originals. Definitely a step in the wrong direction.
