This little Hilka machine hasn't changed much since 20 years ago - thats when I bought my original one, which is still going well. I needed another so I could have grinding on one and polishing on the other rather than forever swapping wheels. The new one is as solidly made as the old one, has plenty of power, and runs very smoothly. It is certainly good value for money.

Over all the product is very good but after assembling it and mounting it on a on purpose built stand, I had to dismantle it and tighten the motor to its mount to stop it moving and reassemble, not difficult but not what you would expect to have to do with a new machine. Over all a good machine once adjusted.

Perfect for small jobs easy to set up, about 20 mins, the Chuck was slightly hard to fit a little gentle persuasion did the trick.

Bought mine back in 1997 new for a Whopping £13.99 and they've not changed one bit although many have put their own label on it such as Sealey, Performance and Clarke to name but a few. Very heavy and robust, mines been well used and abused, left out in the rain, beaten on, dropped and kicked and still going strong!!! Gave it a new coat of paint and is now a bench polisher and it does it very well indeed!!! Old Design that's Obviously Well Tried, Tested and Proven!!!!💪💪💪
