I already knew about this book. I had read it, but not listened to the CD. Amazing as it seems, 4 weeks on and without conscious dieting, people are telling me I appear to have lost weight. He also put me off chocolate to the point where I stopped binging on it - and finally, not even wanting it at all. I stopped eating pastries....I can't explain it - the loss is not huge, but it is demonstrable. I am SO impressed with McKenna's work that I have bought other programs by him and if I continue to see changes for the better, I can see myself actually promoting and sharing his work with others. I didn't think about if it would work - and that's what he advises. I let myself listen and accept his method - and there is a definite change in my eating habits. If he can change me so much in a half hour tape, why do I need to go to groups or doctors........sometimes the simplest method is THE BEST.Read full review
I bought this book and cd to help me lose weight, a friend recommended it as it had worked for her, I am open minded about most things so thought I would give it a go, and success!! so far in a month I have lost exactly 1 stone and I'm not even trying!! I love the book its easy to read with short chapters expalining why you eat what you eat and how to overcome the cravings. The CD is great, although I still havent conciously listenend to it all the way through as I always fall asleep, however Paul starts off by making you feel very relaxed and comfortable then begins talking about helping you loose weight, as I listen to it in bed I'm usually asleep by the time he's finished talking!! but I think subconciously you still hear what he's saying somehow. I've never bought or tried anything like this before so I cant compare it to anything but I certainly will be sticking with Paul for a bit to help me lose more weight.Read full review
I bought this as another string to my diet bow, would it work ? Will I feel ridiculous lying down and letting a recorded voice enter my precious brain ? Well I can say I did feel a little self conscious at first but I have grown accustomed to his voice. I use the CD at night and read the book in spits and spats during the day. I would love to say I am now thin as a stick, but I can say that my eating has altered. I eat smaller amounts and really don't want to snack between meals any more which is a massive step in the right direction. I did try another (cheaper) CD and threw it in the bin within half an hour, should have sent it back really. So all in all, I am pleased with my purchase.
Not really read the book but the CD is very good. It kind of works I felt it made me think about food differently. It’s very relaxing at bedtime but does get a bit monotonous after a while.
