This projector projects a very clear image even onto a painted wall as I currently use it. The build in speaker is extremely loud and crystal clear sound.
Dspite the fact that the Big Play IN1 costs much less than other projectors, i was simply amazed by the quality of it. The projector is assembled in a strong and appealing case. It offers all the connections needed. However, it lacks of a vga plug, but i simply bought a dvi to component cable, and voila'! Regarding the quality of the image, well, in the dark (or semi-dark)the picture is bright and well defined (for such a low resolution, 640x480). I remind you that, despite the projector being cheap, they have splashed into using a 6x dpl mirrors circuitry, and that it is of extreme benefit to the whole picture quality. Very happy indeed, i was not expecting that kind of quality, and i am projecting on a wall! Controls are input, volume and brightness (plus a power button of course). Unfortunately there is no remote control, but i think you can get an expansion, as well as a ceiling projecting mirror! Now, the audio quality. As you would know, the IN1 includes 2 parts: the projector, and the audio casing to attach to the base of the IN1. The sound is amazing and better than lots of more expensive tinny sounding projectors! Powerful, and crisp, but i wish they put a tone control to get a bit more 'bass'! To sum: a very good projector, and cheap. Good quality picture for movies, images and games. The lamp will last only 1000hrs, but a replacement cost around £.100, and that is rather less that £.250 and more asked for lamps used for other projectors (of course we need to take into consideration the fact that some of them have a life of 2-3000hrs). Overall, i got a bargain for a mere £.125, and i don't mind spending another £.100 for tha lamp in a year time, as i do not use it all the time. Pros: Cost effective and quality image & sound (2x7W Stereo) Cons: short lamp lifetime, lack of vga connection BUY IT NOW!Read full review

This is my first projector, and my first review, so i appologise if its a bit hit and miss!! So the InFocus IN1 DLP projector....Is it any good?? Well, on first inspection, it seems OK. There are a number of inputs, including Component Videa, Composite Video and Svhs input. There is also a Left and Right Audio input and Audio output. I bought this primarily for the Wii and Playstation, so im not too bothered about DVI/HDMI etc. This is quite larger, compared to more modern items, both units together are about Half size of a 14"CRT tv, thankfully it weighs no where near the same! The units are in a metalic blue, which doesnt fit well into your interior decor, but i put the projector away when not in use so it isnt an issue. No Remote control, meaning any control of the very few buttons means you have to get up and change manually...again, no biggie. Picture quality i have to say is quite impressive, the colour is fairly good, though the brightness does need turning up a bit to get the best out of it. The sound quality from the internal (detatchable) speakers are OK for games "ad-hoc" but its never going to impress your mates. So overall, i would give it out of 10: Build: 7 Quality: 7 Sound: 6 Picture: 8 Inputs: 7 Portability: 4 Ease of use: 10 So overall 70 percent. Have fun!! Reviews around refer to this as a "gaming" projector, mostly due to the removable lower base with built in speakers.Read full review
Likes:- ======= Quite for a projector of this price. Excellent quality speakers with the included AUD1 unit that attaches the the bottom, no need to use external speakers like most projectors, as these have excellent sound. Although only 640x480 resolution its still a very good crisp clear image, much better than the cheap china unbranded LCD Projectors on ebay. Dislikes:- ========== No contrast or Brightness controls (although some DVD/Blu-ray players do have settings for adjusting contrast and brithness) picture is good even if you can not adjust it. No keystone correcttion No VGA port, but most Graphics cards have S-Video ports (or a lead for component/composite) Lamp life only 1000 hours, but i think it will last longer than that, lamps cost £65 so weight that up against a normal DLP at miniuim £130 for a 2000 hour lamp its not that bad (most projectors are £250 for a lamp so always check lamp cost before buying, the older the projector the move expensive the lamp) Overall:- ========= Its a great entry level/average home user projector, i give it 10 out of 10, it has less fuctions than most projectors, but for this price RRP £135-£150, you cant beat it (unless you buy a higher spec 2nd hand projector).Read full review
