Bought this set as the crank spigot bush/bearing on my 4x4 wasn't moving with the old school methods. Went at it with this slide hammer and still took a good few slams but it eventually gave in and came out. Think the travel on the slide could do with being a little longer imo but other than that I can't fault this kit for the money. The expanding section of the tool has no signs of damage and took a beating if I'm honest 😂 and I'm quite heavy handed. Would definitely buy again but don't think I'll have to as this set should last👍

Had a needle bearing to pull out of a motorcycle swing arm, totally killed the tool. Not enough weight on the slide hammer to pull a really stubborn bearing and the lips on the tool could not handle the abuse required to get this out. Managed to get it out with this tool after applying plenty of head but the tool head is dead so one use only. Similar storey when I tried to pull a smaller bearing with the same kit. Resorted to a bit of 12mm threaded stud, a couple of 12mm nuts and sockets from my socket set, this was a lot less drama filled and less chance of causing damage to me or the component.

Bought this to pull some blind and back to back bearings on my mountain bike. It pulled a grand total of non, so I'm now back to the drawing board. This kit might work for other applications, it just hasn't worked on my bike. The bearings are set in there so solid, that the pullers will not grip and pull straight through. It might work ok on my bike wheel bearings which don't get as much exposure to the elements.

I had a couple of damaged main cap dowel pins, that locate the caps into an engine block. The provide a very important role in keeping the bearings and cap aligned properly. This tool got my damaged dowels out in a few seconds ! Very easy to use, and plenty of sizes for any other jobs that crop up.

I had several bearings to remove from a set of motorbike crankcases. The puller is easy to assemble. Place the correct size collect into the bearing inner, then tighten until securely in place. Attached the slide hammer. After applying some gentle heat around the bearing area, the bearing comes always with several brisk hammer strokes. Very pleased with the results and at just over £25, great value for money.
