I have had a few of these over the years and mainly use them as tinder flint, rather than a reusable match. The quality of this is very cheap but then so was the price. When you squeeze lighter fuel into it, there's only a minimal amount of felt material inside. The body of the tank is only folded steel which is not bonded or sealed to the plastic rim and as a consequence the excess fuel leaks out. As a flint striker its functional and was the reason I purchased it.

Didn't work, tried it on a standard wine bottle and a champagne bottle and it does not fit on the champagne bottle. When pressing it down it does not stick onto the wine bottle. The last one I had I bought from lakeland and did the job perfectly, should have paid the extra £3 and got a product that worked. I have been told they will refund if I send it back but by the time I pay to post it back its not worth the hassle.

It may seem like a cheap low quality item but it’s actually really good, it’s as good as any large sized ferro rod and really handy if you’re struggling to make a fire, would highly recommend as an essential for your basic kit.

This product is a great flint it sparks well, but it isn't like a match it doesn't catch fire, I do like the size of it just a little disappointed it doesn't work as well it is advertised.
