Among the best pedals I have used. Incredibly flexible, if you have the time to play with it, any sound may probably be reproduced. Even the simple presets as suggested in several places are good enough and probably more than one needs. The controls interplay and therefore small differences may be produced with different setups. I love it. This is the 2nd time I buy one, I was stupid enough to sell the 1st one. Its the safe pedal to keep in the gig bag to make sure you have a good starting point at any gig situation, with unknoun amplifiction. If it had a Reverb and a Delay, even basic ones, it would be the perfect multieffect (for me at least)

I love the Joyo American Sound pedal. I bought it after watching/listening to a "blind test" on YouTube which compared a miked up Fender amp with this pedal. I initially assumed the best sound was from the Fender amp, but when they revealed where the best sound came from it turned out to be from this pedal! So I bought the pedal to play from my Fender USA Strat with Gold lace sensor pickups straight into my small Kustom PA. The sound is absolutely beautiful on the clean settings and even better when the voice or drive knobs are turned up near full. There is a great range of sounds from this pedal. I don't think the sound is quite as good with my Gibson Les Paul but it was still good with great sustain when cranked up. Now I don't need to buy a Fender amp to get the sound I want. Unbelievable value, so highly recommended for messing around at home or for gigs. Read full review

This pedal is an amp simulator. You play guitar through it, and it makes it sound like you are playing through a classic american amp. I love using it live. It is a bit hissy for recording though. I play swing/jazz mostly using an archtop. If you crank the gain a little it distorts pretty nicely for a transistor pedal, but don't expect proper valve like distortion of course :-)

This pedal is so easy to dial in the sound you're after - most Fender amp sounds are just a few tweaks away! The secret is in the voice control - it progressively changes the eq, thickening up the mids - then just alter the gain and volume to suit! The sound responds well to the dynamics of the pick.....you can get it to break up by picking the string harder! Brilliant! I set the top three eq knobs as masters depending on which amp/pa/mixer I'm using. Can't believe the sounds for this price!

I've used this pedal in the usual way, IE: direct to PA, or as an overdrive into my own Fender amp, but then I got this "crazy" idea. I have an old speaker cab that houses a 12" speaker. If you're into vintage looks, this one is "to die for". I bought a 12" Fender speaker from Ebay, got a mos-fet power amp given from a friend, and I simply wired it up, using the pedal as my pre amp. It sounds amazing and draws comment from guitar players in the audience everywhere. Total cost of my "JG55 Special" is £45. I defy anyone to find a better small amp for that little money anywhere in the world.
