The Jakar mount cutter is a good product but turned out tricky when used in the 45 degree cutting mode. The bald has a tendency to ride up and go off line despite even pressure on the blade. I got round this by doing a light pre-cut guide with a knife along the line of intended cut and then use the mount cutter. This helped ensure the cut is straight. Otherwise, I am happy with the Jakar Mount Cutter, due more to the price being a reasonable price for it compared to more expensive mount cutters.

These are worse than I thought. No aspect of these work. The blade tip chipped off as soon as it touched the card and changing it was very difficult as the holder gets jammed in its guide rails. The cuts are dreadful. Perhaps there is a knack but I struggled to get anything remotely acceptable. Waste of time and money.

Terrible product. It is designed for one thing, and it doesn't do it. The blade is too thin and bends, so it doesn't cut straight.
