I bought two copies, one for a guy at work as a works secret santa and the other copy was for me. I wanted to learn some basic cooking skills as I would be retiring soon. I did see some of the dishes being prepared by Jamie on TV. The Bubble and Squeak caught my attention as a starting point. This is the first cook book I have bought and I'm sure I'll have great fun and a few tasty treats too. I bought the book in the hard cover format so it would survive life in a busy kitchen with three married daughters one son, and four grandchildren popping round. Love the variety of things to make. Also the design and colour photo,s are helpful resource and make the book fun to flip threw when deciding what you are going to make.
Fantastic book which captures the wonderful TV series. Easy to follow recipes, and totally inspiring, reflecting the diverse country we live in.

I own a lot of Jamie’s books and find his recipes tend to always work for me so I’m biased somewhat as jamie oliver is a go to in my kitchen. However, if you love British food and like a nice twist it’s great. I’m Italian-English and for me this book is perfect
