I bought this for a young adult with limited reading ability as I was hoping to encourage him to learn to cook. This is not suitable for him, too wordy and not enough pictorial displays. If you can recommend a book that can help I would be grateful to receive suggestions. I have looked at the DK Simply Cook and that is the same. Fear I will have to resort to a children's cook book.

Having read many reviews on a lot of Jamie Olivers Cookery Books, there was one that was recommended numerous times, 'Jamies Ministry of Food'. I got to the point where I really wanted that book. I found it in W H Smiths and skipped through the pages but it was too expensive. I looked on ebay and there it was brand new as an unwanted present. I bid and won and got it for a bargain price. I read through the whole book which is brilliantly laid out. I have tried a few of the recipes and they have turned out well. As much as the recipes are great I love the actual content of the book as it also contains little snippets from people who have cooked the recipes but it also has tons of information that is very handy as a useful guide.
