I use this in my wheelie bin liner. A quick sprinkle every couple of days dries up any liquid excess and stops smells. If my wheelie bin does get stinky then a coating of this powder over the surface of the waste and the smell is masked. I previously used this when I looked after a shared (paladin) bin room. A thin layer on the floor after I had swept the bin room floor left it smelling fresh and easy to clean up any spillages from the chute.

Our local supermarket and garden centres stopped selling this type of product so I was pleased to find it online and also cheaper than when I had previously purchased from the garden centre. With our green bins only being collected fortnightly and the fact that we have to throw our food waste in them, the smells and maggots can start very quickly especially in the summer months. By using this powder regularly on top of the food waste, it has stopped all that.

Been using this for ages now, there's no other product as good at doing what it says on the label. During summer it keeps the flies away from the bin and kills maggots , much nicer for the dustman .

Jeyes Freshbin Powder is the most effective I have found. It is a little more expensive than some but worth every penny. It is effective and keeps potentially smelly wheelie bins smelling fresh and helps to prevent blue-flies from laying eggs in the rim.

I use this when i clean the cat's litter tray. I put the soiled litter in a bag and sprinkle some of this over it and the cat's smell is replaced with a nice lemon scent. seal the bag, put in bin and my bin won't smell...even if the bag has split i cannot smell anything but lemon.
