One of the most underrated Good ol' yankee rockers with a sound that is cross between the pop-rock of Bryan Adams, with the slightly growling vocals of John Fogerty, John Cougar had a string of hits worldwide in the early to mid-80's (you may remember "Hurts so good", "Hand to hold onto" or "Jack and Diane")...and most of them are on this album. Not especially deep and meaningful, but of course it's not meant to be. It's fairly open, honest, blue-collar rock 'n roll, perfect for driving on a sunny day or playing on the setero while cooking on the BBQ and chuggin' a few beers.
brilliant cd took me right back to when i first heard it about 20 years ago . well worth the money i wish i had bought a copy of it years ago . very easy to listen to .
It features classics like Jack and Diane and Hurts So Good. A bit of a timeless classic, observations like these don't age.
