Looking at service kits on e-bay this filter was in many of the pictures so i did a little investigating on cross-referencing and 163 is the correct filter code for the bike- shopping around you can get these for sub-£10 (or if you cant be bothered then pay up to £16) k&n is a respected name so expect the construction quality to be acceptable went on with no probs theoil light went straight out on first start up/ comes back on 2-5 seconds after engine stops so pressure parameters seem ok done 40 miles no sign of light even flickering and engines still running so guess all is ok ps- the nut fitting to take a spanner or socket makes fitting a doddle dont forget to pre-fill filter with oil prior to screwing onto bike to ensure immediate flow and no air locks happy riding to all!

K&N are well known but for air filters more than oil filters but this little gem has the thing we all need. Somewhere to attach a socket! So much easier to swap out than the original unit and K&N quality too

Have been using k&n filters on my motorcycles for years. ( both oil & air filters). They are quality kit, generally cheaper than manufacturers filters and have the advantage of not needing special equipment to fit or remove them. K&N also claim better filtration and higher oil flows than standard filters. Why would you not fit them?

THESE FILTERS ARE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND IN MOST CASES EXCEED ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS. ALSO,BECAUSE THEY HAVE A NUT WELDED TO THE BOTTOM THERE IS NO NEED FOR EXPENSIVE FILTER REMOVAL TOOLS. SPOT ON.
