This CD is a Karen Carpenter CD and different in a positive way. I have always believed that had she been a solo artist with the freedom to do her own thing, she would have been a Mega Star comparable with anyone else you could name. This CD is not only good it is like a breath of fresh air. It's sad she is no longer with us.

I'm glad I bought this disc. It was interesting and it is Karen Carpenter. However, it is indeed very different from the work Karen did with her brother Richard. Richard redid some of these and produced them on other discs, particularly Lovelines. I personally think that Richard improved them. One of the major differences I sensed is that in this disc, Karen's voice is much more in the background relative to the instruments, whereas her voice stands out much more in the work she did with Richard, and even in his versions of these same songs. I think this disc shows how much they were a team and the synergy made the result better than the sum of the parts. Neither would have been as prominent without the other.
Not the best, I can understand why it was never originally relaeased
