A very easy swap for the older master socket. I thought I will give this a try as I suffer from terrible slow broadband speeds of around 2.5 mg or less and as a result I have seen a big increase of speed this is fantastic it has given me a much more stable connection on a old copper phone line where I was having contsant dropouts. The average speed of the line is now a very usable 5.5mb - 6mb Many thanks I thoughly recomend this there are lots of self-help videos on you tube showing how to connect these boxes it is very simple to do . Easy to replace using the supplied instructions and guidance from You Tube videos providing you are reasonably handy and take care !! Using the opportunity to remove existing redundant extension cabling, and relocating my Router so it could be connected directly, I was amazed to find the speed of my broadband had increased from 1 mg to 5 mg (Yes FIVE), Unsure how much of this increase is attributable to the new master socket, but in my opinion a well worth exercise at low cost.

This item is excellent value and very easy to install. Even the plastic termination tool worked well.The only issue for me was the scews provided to secure the faceplate had to be replaced with longer ones as I was fitting a booster between the box and the faceplate. Had this not have been the case I'm sure all would have been fine.

Our telephone line must be of the old style as the wires that go into terminals A & B are too thick to slot into the IDC connector, so instead of trying to slot them in length ways, I pushed them in at a 90 degree angle and with the part of the wire with the plastic cable still around it, twisted that so it pushed up against the back box so as to provide support so the connections do not easily fall out. Only been a day since I fitted it so time will tell if this is a permanent solution.
