So this was to replace the pump on my '08 R125. The basic pump is ok, pretty much a straight swap out for the original. No instructions included as far as I remember but it's not rocket science to figure out. Whilst it came with several different fuel pickups/strainers for different models (i.e. the bit which goes on the end of the pump and filters muck out of the fuel on the way into the pump) the closest match to the R125 ones was somewhat different from the oem one. I found one which did the job ok but it seemed like it possibly didn't reach as deep into the tank as the oem one (there was like ~1cm difference in depth), which could possibly mean it may run dry/empty a little quicker than it should. Maybe not, kinda hard to tell without the tank being empty, and mine wasn't empty. Hopefully I'll never find out. The main issue I had with it was the little circlip. On the oem pump there's a little circlip-type thing which holds the strainer part onto the end of the pump. You have to force the little circlip onto a ~3mm pillar on the end of the pump. The circlips are tiny and have a habit of pinging off into infinity, and are quite difficult to get on at the best of times, but when using the included o-ring there was no hope of getting the circlip on because the little "pillar" it goes on wasn't long enough. An extra mm length on the circlip pillar and there would have been no issue. I found a thinner o-ring and eventually managed to get the circlip on there pretty much ok, and everythgin seems to seal ok but it wasn't exactly what I'd call a positive fit, and I do half expect it to come off at some point. I didn't really have a choice though - I had to be able to get to work so needed a pump at short notice... the seller delivered quicker than I could have got an oem pump (for which I'm grateful!) and ultimately I got it together more or less satisfactorily. The bike seems to run fine so I guess it's ok, but I'm not super confident the little circlip thing & fuel strainer will stay put long-term. It's a bit noisier than the oem pump but it's not like you can hear it over the exhaust anyway ;o) Read full review

Sorry to say, this was a pain in the esra to fit, I had to use a grinder on the internal housing, when i could have spent a bit more and bought a oem style pump to fit where the origional was, and a streightforward fit. I woiuld not recomenbt this if your attempting to fit it yourself. I am v!ery hands on, and build my own engines n stuff. would I buy one again NO! Too much fannying about. the 1st photo shows the H sction, most of this had to be ground away, this is not a straight forward fit.

Good value pump and looks high quality but only been running it a few days now so time will tell. Fitting into the original Shogun housing was difficult. The pump discharge pipe is 10mm longer that the original meaning the bottom housing will not clip on ( there is a replacement rubber ‘seat’ supplied but this is too thick). Had to cut a 2mm rubber gasket seat to fit under it to avoid plastic on plastic if you know what I mean. Also had to trim off the lugs from the bottom all to make it fit the housing. Once done fitted fine. So bit of fiddling but it fitted.

Had juddering problems between 3000-3500 rpm in my remapped 1.8t MK4 Golf. Fitted this fuel pump and the problem went away. I was originally going to buy a more expensive one but only bought this because I saw it comes with everything you need (clamps, o rings etc) - Straight swap for the old one no fiddling around. Instantly noticeable difference. So far so good, might upgrade it down the line. Will see how it lasts.
