A good way to get lots of Kevin's original tracks. The type is so small you need a magnifying glass to read the graphics on the CD sleeves!

five albums of thoroughly English eccentric/observant/anti-authoritarian (in a psychedelic way, not punk,) music, for a tenner? A total winner. I didn't have any of these albums before, despite liking some of his songs that I've heard since I was a teenager. (I think I heard 'Stranger In Blue Suede Shoes' played by John Peel when i was around 17 and loved the sentiment.) Great songs, great bands full of excellent musicians and a willingness to experiment. More gold coming out of the rich seams of the late '60s & early '70s.

This is a delightful budget package showcasing the early works of Kevin Ayers and will appeal to fans of British psychedelia; the individual albums are available with bonus tracks but for the curious this is the place to start.
