We bought this as the dial marks on our new oven were a bit vague, so we were concerned maybe we might not be on the correct temperature. Thankfully the thermometer confirmed we were wrong to be worried about the oven, the thermostat confirmed that the oven was in fact very accurate with temperature control. We have kept it inside our oven hanging from the one of the shelves. Pleased with it, for the money its great value. I would assume this would be really handy for cake bakers where temperature accuracy is important.

I purchased one of these to monitor my oven temperature. It does take some time to warm up, and my oven shows it has reached the setting at least 10 minutes before the thermometer does. My oven is set at 180 drgrres and the thermometer shows 190, so one is 10 degrees out. Still it is good value for money and so if y really want to check the acuracy of your oven, you may need to spend considerable more money.

I have had one of these for several years and used it regularly to check the temperature in my counter top oven as being fairly small it fits conveniently on the shelf. This latest purchase was a replacement, the pointer having finally dropped off its attachment

This is a great little gadget that I wish I had bought sooner. I have top of the range ovens but I realised on some settings they didn't reach the set temperature so I bought this and it showed me which settings (fan / convection, etc) got to the set temperature and which didn't. So I can then adjust the setting accordingly. The only downside is, it is small and sometimes a little difficult to see what temperature the pointer is on.

Nice big dial which you can clearly see through oven glass door. Good base so it doesn't fall over on oven rack. I bought this as a second thermometer as the one I had was measuring a different temperature to my gas oven. I now have three measures which are all different so I'm not sure which is accurate. I tend to use the average across all three and the baking turns out well.
