Settled on this product based on reviews of it's after-sales backed service, which includes an optional insurance subscription. Very pleased with how simple the product is to use and happy with the build quality and clear instructions. I read a review which stated the 4ft cable is inferior, so had to make an executive decision to still purchase it since I wanted to keep the weight down (and this is a better weight for the quality of the product). There are much tougher, heavier-duty locks out there, but for my budget and needs this suited me.

Perfect U lock for my Specialized Rockhopper Mountain bike. Fits perfectly into the frame and the lock mechanism is very good. Also the carry clip attached to frame is a nice solid clip in design. Excellent value plus the cable included can be used to lock around the wheel rims if needed.

The Kryptonite Krypto lock is an exceptionally secure, yet flexible lock. The main component U shaped steel part is excellent to secure your bike frame to a solid post to make it virtually impossible for potential thieves to steal, while the extended wire acts as added security for locking/securing the wheels as a unit. If the post you wish to lock the bike to is too large for the main part of the lock to fit around though, then while it is a shame that the main solid part of the lock could not be slightly wider to allow for this, then the wire mesh extension is still good enough to keep the frame secure when you use it in conjunction with the main lock. All in all it is a high quality lock that I find is exceptional value for money.
