Having had dogs all my life, and was considering a Labradoodle, read the book, but finally settled for an old favorite...a Labrador (rescue one...our third rescue lab...) and before the rescue dogs we had two other labs and a Chesapeake. Wasn't very impressed by the book as it offered nothing new and was pretty basic if you have had dogs before. By the way...it took us some three hundred miles of driving to a lot of rescue places before we found the dog we were looking for....one year and three week old black Lab. Wow!!! Worth waiting and looking for. He's a beaut. But 'by golly', it's sometimes very hard to go looking for dogs and having to turn away and look again...so many excellent dogs wanting homes. Why buy pups when there are so many good young dogs needing a good place to live?

A very good and an informative insight into owning and caring for a labradoodle right from the puppy thru to adult. Health question's asked and answered, exercise and general well being covered. I can recommend this book as an interesting read as well as a guide to owning your doodle. J.S.

adequate for pending labradoodle owners and a good starter book but I found it left me with as many questions as answers
