Late of the Pier are a much overlooked and underrated band - unfortunately they only produced one album but it is brilliant - Gary Numan meets Roxy Music meets dance punk.

Pretty much, the whole album is a mish mash of different times and sounds. The content varies a lot, and rather than that causing a loss of identity, it creates it. It helps that all the songs on the album are great too, with even the less "headline-ly" songs being very enjoyable, and should cause a severe condition of the dancing feet. If you like Klaxons, and other indie-rock/electronica bands of similar variety, I'd recommend both the band, and this album.
