Truely the most fabulous easy to read and follow with relevent book chaptering legal book for nurses and healthcare professionals with great references to case studies
Good book. Covers all the main topics of legality in all areas of nursing and lots more. For example - duty of care, accountability, consent to treatment, common law etc; then you smaller topics such as bullying in the work place, employment law etc. The book also looks into specialist areas such as mental health and children's nursing. Each specialty has its own chapter and gives a reasonable amount of information to inform the reader in that area. It's a detailed book, giving you around 720 pages. The book format / layout is quite nice too. What's really great about the book though is the real life examples the book includes. Further, it gives discussion on these to really help tie together the complexities of the subject. I have bought Bridgit Dimond books before and they are a great learning tool and reference book for any student and qualified nurse. Missed out on 5 stars as it could do with a bit more colour to the book and illustrations.Read full review
