This headset is very good. The sound is great and you can tweak the equalization and surround with the Logitech software. I wish the mic boom would be a little longer so it sets in front of the mouth, but still, it picks up pretty well. You just have to find the sweet spot on the gain and the threshold so it wont pick too much background noise. Overall a great purchase.

I would like to first of all say, for the price I got it, I found it to be a good value. I understand that this headset usually sells for $60 usd or more, and I got it for around $47 usd. I don't recommend this headset, because it has so many problems (mine, at least) that I am considering returning it, as i'm within the 60 day return period. A little backstory here, I've had a logitech headset in the past, the g930, had very similar problems to this, and I quit using it and bought a pair of astro a40's. My a40's had an unfortunately soon death, and So I went to groupon to get a cheap steelseries headset. After 4 months of trying to get my RMA replacement after that one prematurely broke, I was just given a refund. I wanted to give logitech another try, I wanted surround sound, And so I bought this. The first day, I plugged the mic and headset cables directly into my pc. No problems. I heard to get surround sound, you have to plug them into the USB adapter which is a soundcard, So I did. The logitech software installed itself, and it made the mic stop working. After hours upon hours of frustration, I finally decided to delete the software, and reinstall it, which fixed it. A day or two after that, I noticed that if you BARELY, and I literally mean BARELY tug on the wire, if it gets twisted or turned, or slightly, not even noticeably unplugged, it makes this horrific white noise/static sound, where you have to force the cord into the usb adapter and twist it around to make it stop. This happens constantly. The Games I mainly play are ones where accurate sound are vital. I tested this in CS:GO, and I noticed that when I would be in one spot, it would sound as if another player was right around the corner, so i'd peek out and prefire, and look like an idiot because they're really no where near me. This is a real pain, because with other headsets such as my astro a40, I loved the accurate surround sound. I honestly cannot make anything out with this headset, and it's frustrating, because I paid for surround sound. Pros: -Cheap (I got it for a deal) -Extremely comfortable -Lightweight -Nice bass -Beautiful braided cord (I cannot get over how pretty the cord looks. I've only ever had headsets with black cords, so this was truly eyecandy Cons: -Inaccurate surround sound (sounds aren't where they're supposed to be) -Frustrating software -Finicky cords/adapter -Low quality microphone So in essence, it is an okay headset, as long as you don't pay full price for it. The pros certainly don't outweigh the cons, but it's not a terrible headset. This looks nice, is comfortable, and when you're playing, you're forgetting you're wearing it. I just will not be buying another one in the future.Read full review

The sound quality of the Dolby Digital 7.1 Surround Sound is fantastic. The headset fits OVER THE EAR. For me, this headset is very comfortable. The weight of it is not as much as other similar OVER THE EAR headsets which in turn makes it more comfortable to wear for hours without having to relieve pressure off your head. The Mic in itself people say has a very low sound input and it will cut you off. This is true to an extent but I have been using this Mic a lot today and testing it out. If you go to your Logitech Gaming Software and sift through the settings you can turn the volume all the way up and from there also go into your recording device and select the headset microphone, then its properties, then to levels, turn the level all the way up in there as well and it solves a lot of low microphone output issue. However, you still need not to mumble into the microphone or it will cut you off. Speak clearly and precise into it. It also comes with FANTASTIC Noise Cancellation on the microphone to where it doesn't even pic up the clicks on my keyboard or Logitech G500 mouse. The Logitech Gaming Software that handles Logitech products is not all that user friendly but if you play with it for about five minutes then you can easily understand it for even future Logitech software that uses that software. The headset pads are able to be taken off and are completely washable. Just let them dry before you put them back on the headset or you could end up with a messy situation and wet ears. The headphones also rotate around so it makes them even more comfy to wear because you can adjust easily how they sit on your head. The top cushion is also comfortable, keeping the hard plastic off of my head. The sound quality though is just magnificent. I would say this product is well worth the price and it even gives more costly high end headsets a run for their money in the quality and output department. The microphone not so much because of it's low sound output which again, can be adjusted. Just do not mumble into it. I hope this review has helped some of you purchasing this product. I tried to be as thorough as I could in the review I just typed out. If you have any further questions or want an actual video review, you can also look up non bias reviews on Youtube. Take care all and have a wonderful day. I recommend this product for the price, quality of the sound, and comfortable feel of the headset.Read full review
Logitech G430 seems to be a reasonable choice for a gamer. I wouldn't suggest this for people who listen to music, as the sound quality is good enough, but not great for the original price. I wouldn't have bought these for the original price, which is much higher than the 58 euros i paid for, but for 58 it's really a great option. The mic is really great for me and the headset looks strong and feels like it won't break like others. You might find yourself dealing with low volume at first, but you just have to adjust the setting a little bit and it will be fine. Surround sound is ok so far, but at times you'll prefer stereo sound, in which case you'll just plug the headset without the usb adaptor. Overall it feels comfortable, although the ear pads, despite being removable and washable, may make your ear very warm after some time of using the headset. Of course you can always buy different ear pads to replace them if you don't feel comfortable with these. Bottomline...i would suggest these if you are a gamer or chat a lot, but for the right price. Look for a deal instead of buying them for the original price.Read full review
I bought this product because it was surround sound and the microphone has noise cancelling and the color matched my PC's led lights. The thing i like about this headset is the noise cancelling and surround sound. What i dislike about this product is when you record with Fraps(A video recording program) your voice will sound like your using a low quality microphone. If you like to record on YouTube and others use a different mic in my opinion. This product compared to my other headset this headset wins.
